Our guests brother Robin and sister Bessie Griffith shared some of their story pertaining to brother Robin Griffith Sr. being a kidney transplant recipient

"Robin F, W, Griffith, born January 11, 1960, in Baltimore, Maryland. I am the oldest of four sons born to the late Fred Alvin and Rosa Birda (Tillman) Griffith.

 I graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1978. I attended Baltimore City Community College, majoring in Computer Science.

 November 16, 1980, I entered on duty with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I was trained by the Bureau in various elements of operations. I was promoted through the ranks to Middle-Level Management. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the West Virginia Satellite Operations in Fairmont, West Virginia. I retired from Violent Crimes Against Children Division with 371/2 years of service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Currently, I am the Area Manager for Safeguard Maintenance Corp. managing 60 people with secure clearances at the NSA facilities.

 I was also a member of the Maryland Army National Guard from 1981 to 1984.  

A former member of MWPHGL of West Virginia where I served as Most Worshipful Grand Master for 2 years. Currently, I am a member  of King David #18 Lodge of Maryland Jurisdiction .

 Bessie born 5/22/1955, in the city of Philadelphia PA to the late Wilbert Jackson and Cleo Brooks. Attended the Philadelphia Public School System. Graduated from Kensington High School, attended Palmer Seminary received a certificate in Christian Studies and attended Lincoln University majoring in Human Services.   A Workforce Development Specialist with 20 plus years in the field assisting Veterans and their families, individuals who are unemployed, underemployed, disabled, disadvantaged and returning citizens with employment and training opportunities. 

 We are happily married with five years under our belt and counting. 

We have two sons; James and Robin, Jr., four daughters; Tujuanna, Dawn, Quiana, Gisela, two sons-in-laws; Eddie Scott, and Estevan Johnson, two daughters-in-laws; Renee and Erica, nine grandchildren and six great-grandsons. I have also been a foster parent to thirty-five foster children. 

We are grateful to God for the Transplant journey.  We pray our testimony will be a blessing to others. "
